"Landscape With a Cow Drinking" etching on Ingres d’Arches off-white laid paper (watermark) with large margins by listed artist, Rembrandt Van Rijn. The second state according to Bjorklund, the sixth state according to Nowell-Eusticke. A 20th/21st century impression printed by Marjorie Van Dyke from the "Millennium" edition limited to 2500 examples. Circa 1650, B., Holl. 237; H. 240; BB 50-I. 4 1/16” x 5” plate size. 12 7/8” x 9 3/4” sheet size. Measures in frame, 26.5” H x 27” W.
Professionally framed under glass with original of certificate of authenticity and appraisal from Park West Gallery. Rembrandt Harmenszoon van Rijn, usually simply known as Rembrandt, was a Dutch Golden Age painter, printmaker, and draughtsman. He is generally considered one of the greatest visual artists in the history of art.
Marjorie Van Dyke is a painter and master printer who has worked with many prominent artists including Paul Resika, Bette Saar, Paul Waldman , Faith Ringold and Susan Weil. She started her own etching atelier in l997 after printing at Bob Blackburn’s Printmaking Workshop for fifteen years. Van Dyke’s art is included in numerous collections including the Houghton Library at Harvard University, The New York Public Library, the J. Paul Getty Museum and the Victoria and Albert Museum in London. She and Deborah Freedman started VanDeb Editions in 1999.
